The Yum Ma Muang or the mango salad is a traditional dish made with sour mangoes, peanuts, shallot, and fish sauce. It is usually eaten with deep fried fish.

The Khieo Sawoei and the Raed mango is the complete opposite of the Nam Dok Mai. It is green in color, awfully sour, and super crunchy. In Thailand, you can find fruit stalls where they thinly slice these mangoes which are then eaten with salt and chili powder or Nam Pla Wan, fish sauce cooked with sugar and dried shrimp, to complement the mango’s sourness.
Many local restaurants also use these mangoes in various dishes such as the mango salad which is eaten with deep fried fish.
